My husband applied for a management position for Bed, Bath and Beyond?

and had an interview last week. He is waiting on a call to hopefully get a second interview. Does anyone know if they do credit checks when hiring? Also, how much do asst. store managers make there? My husband applied for a management position for Bed, Bath and Beyond?
everyone does background checks these days, because it's super cheap now. It's only like 50 bucks for a company to find out everything there is to know about a person.

BUT, they have to get permission ahead of time, so you will know they are planning to do a credit check before they do it.

They can still do a Google search, and a few other basic background checks without permission, to make sure he wasn't arrested etc., but the credit check won't happen until he practically has the job.

A bad credit history wouuld be bad news for someone who handles a lot of money, or is applying for a bank teller, or wants to be an accountant, etc. Also, no matter what the job is, if the person is WAY deep in debt and their job pays little, it's a bad sign too.

Thats all in know about it.

You can google more about it too.
