and some GREAT tips i really want for my bed somewere me and my friends can hang out and i need a bathroom were i can just relax plz help me..I Am a tomboy and i really hate PINK and i am redecorating my bed and bath and i need some pictures for ideas.
Don't try to design your bedroom by what you don't like, but by what you like. (I'm a tomboy too.) Choose a colour you like, one you can see living with for a while, one you can be productive in (by that i mean one that doesn't distract you when you're trying to nap/do homwork/whatever you do in your room now), and one that goes with the carpet/floors/furnishings, unless you're changing those.
It really depends on what you want it to be - a place to hang out, one to show off your books/trophies/photos, a place to do homework, watch tv, play video games, and/or an extension of your closet? Once you have an idea of what you want to do and how other people refer to it, search for those keywords online. Don't turn any site away any sites - scanning catalogues has shown me some really cool things in stores i'd never imagine. If it's in your design/budget, search local thrift stores, garage sales, Target, etc, to help narrow your design and also expose you to new idea. Make some art and display yourself - your friends' photos, a collage of things you like, a cool sculpture you bought for five dollars and can't explain why you like it, furniture with built-in mp3 speakers, frame words or quotes you like, have seating/convertable seating for your friends, etc.
Just make it your own, and enjoyI Am a tomboy and i really hate PINK and i am redecorating my bed and bath and i need some pictures for ideas.
I am also a tomboy, yet now a 35 year old one at that. If I got stuck with pink walls, I would have a fit. If thats all I could have, I would throw quite a bit of brown in there. Brown curtains, rugs, etc. If anything, put some brown striping over the pink. Then on another wall, make brown squares and circles., You know, where the circles are thicker on the sides then top. and same with the squares. Also when striping, go thick, thin, thick thin. Have fun with it. Not alot goes with pink but browns, will tone it down and those colors actually go well together. Take care and good luck to ya
