How do I stop all those generic mailers (like Bed Bath and Beyond flyers) from coming to my mailbox?

I already added my name to the no-spam mail list, but how do I stop the mail man from automatically stuffing my mailbox full of all those annoying coupons? It wastes so much paper and I never look at any of it!How do I stop all those generic mailers (like Bed Bath and Beyond flyers) from coming to my mailbox?
Get creative with it! Everyone gets those silly credit card offers and other mail offers that we don't want and don't need. Spam in your mail box. But these people obviously think that this is a good thing. And they are SO kind to send you those little prepaid envelopes. Now these envelopes are pretty neat. Did you know that if you slip it in the return box they have to pay for it even if it's empty? And if it ISN'T empty, they do pay for overweight envelopes! Now since they have been SO kind as to share their junk mail with you, why not return the favor??? Save up those fliers and such. Fold them and mail them to other companies. The little sales ads in the cable bills? Send those to the phone company with your payment. Send the phone companies ads to the cable company. Anytime anyone sends you an unsolicited offer with a prepaid postage return envelope, think of it as a plea for attention. Send them some interesting reading, coupons or sales fliers. maybe the pretty pictures will keep them busy for a minute or two. Plus, the additional postage they pay will help increase the money brought in by the post office, keeping YOUR stamp prices from rising! And of course, if enough people do this, some of them may think twice about these stupid mailings.

Meanwhile, you can talk to your post office about having a halt placed on circulars and junk mail. Then place a permanent message on your mailbox for the delivery man/woman requesting that no circulars be placed in your box. Some will listen, some won't. Me? If they don't listen, I just go to the mail drop box and put it right back. Let THEM deal with it. I didn't ask for it.How do I stop all those generic mailers (like Bed Bath and Beyond flyers) from coming to my mailbox?
If you visit their websites and enter your email on anything it will add you to a list and then you get emails from them.
Call them and ask them to take you off of their mailing list. They don't want to send someone who isn't going to buy their stuff an expensive catalog (or even a mailer) anymore than you want to receive it. I've also heard that there's a web service/site that provides mass mailers a list of ';do not send'; addresses if you register with them. Try Googling ';stop mass mail';. Hope this helps and thanks for trying to keep this stuff from being produced in the first place.
