Bed bath and beyond, IKEA or Target? To buy all you need for a new, small apartment in NY?

Which one has more variety, is cheaper, and has trendy and weird stuff?Bed bath and beyond, IKEA or Target? To buy all you need for a new, small apartment in NY?
Ikea has a good base, then supplement from thrift stores, flea markets, and antique stores for the weird stuff.Bed bath and beyond, IKEA or Target? To buy all you need for a new, small apartment in NY?
IKEA has the best selection for small scale furniture. Start there for your basics(small loveseat, end tables). Then go to HomeGoods (a division of TJ Maxx) and pick out some funky lamps. Target is cool for the incidentals that you can you use for your decorations for the end tables or coffee table. For a small coffee table, go to a wine shop and ask the manager for 4 or 6 wooden wine bottle crates. If you get the right sizes, they look really cool, especially if you put a modern flat screen tv on them. They make great end tables as well. So do old suitcases and trunks that you can find at Goodwill. Target is okay but you really have to search for the stuff. I find ALOT of funky stuff at Burlington Coat Factory, CB2 and IKEA. Hope this helps.
IKEA. Cheaper, trendier, and so easy to buy from. But you have to go to the store, not buy online. Their shipping costs are really high and the store is an experience in itself.
Delia's or Urban Outfitters maybe?
